***If you know Turkish, there is a huge amount of information available on the internet, too!***

In Turkey there are many (!!!) departments and institutes at universities such as the Türk Dünyası Araştırmaları Enstitüsü (Ege University, Izmir) or non-university based institutes such as IRCICA, which is the Research Centre for Islamic History, Art and Culture of the Organization of the Islamic Conference. The travel program “Ayna” has episodes on many different countries around the world, including Central Asia. (It is also available in Turkish and English.) Many programs are also on YouTube, including episodes of “Türklerin izinde” (“In the footsteps of the Turks”) in the series “Zaman Yolcusu” (NTV).

Of course all countries have media you can access on-line, including “Kazakh TV”.
